Monday is Movie night
Monday is movie night. 7pm. Bring a movie from your genre and then you can vote to see if you watch one in it's entirety or just scenes from all. Please let Jacqueline know if you are coming or not.

Deep thoughts
Tell me, do you want to have a meeting next Monday or are things too crazy with Christmas? If there is a mixed response, then some of you may want to get together and watch movies of different genres or something else. Bottom line, YOU decide if and what kind of meeting you want to have. The weekend before school starts could provide another meeting opportunity-if you (being the team) organize it. I would like to see more ownership of this challenge and ideas on how YOU want to tackle it at each meeting. Let me know!

Think about it....
I have seen some good ideas, but remember to think about the CHALLENGE. Make your skits seque into distinct film genres which means everybody could have 3 different characters or 1 character played in 3 different ways. This week we will watch a few more clips so remember to bring in movies (anyone can bring in any genre) and continue to work on the skit. Also, we will begin to look at materials you can use.
See you Monday, 7-8:30. Sorry no cupcakes.

Meeting Monday 12/8
Same time, 7-8:30. If you can bring a sample of your genre, please do. Find the scene you want to show in the movie and mark down where it's at because we can't watch the whole movie-sorry :( If no one brings anything you will be subjected to my choices, which can be rather old fashioned, to put it nicely. Enjoy the snow!!!!!

First meeting notes
Great first meeting! Here is the research you need to accomplish by the next meeting: Amanda-musicals and Veronica Mars. Jacqueline-Film Noir and McNaughton. Kelsey-Horror and Nancy Drew. Lindsey-Sci-fi and Bony. Jesse-Romance and Elliot Ness. Tyler please choose 1 film genre and 1 sleuth to research that has not already been taken. Also, everybody come in with any 3 superstitions.
I would like to schedule meetings on Mondays Dec 1,8, 15 and 22 from 7-8:30. Please bring your research to the next meeting. Remember, let me know of schedule conflicts and I will try to work around them. There will be more meetings this year, but I do not expect perfect attendance until close to tournament. Until then, we just need to get as many here as possible to pick brains and have fun.
Date to remember: Saturday, March 14, 2009 is the tournament at MU.

Who read the problem?
Did you read the problem? If we break this down, little by little, it won't be such a mystery when meetings start. Please let me know here that you read the problem.

This blog will be the primary spot for me to get information to you and for you to get information to me. OK? I hope you will check this site regularly, especially before actual meetings start. Also, parents need to know about this
Before the first meeting (late Nov, early Dec) you will have to 1. Print the problem. 2. Read the problem (make notes on your copy, ideas, questions, whatever) and 3. Do some research (we'll talk about this a bit later).
